Looking to explore Miami’s vibrant architecture? Bring your dog on an art deco walking tour of Miami Beach! Art Deco Tours allows you to bring your best friend along for an extra fee, and while they won’t be able to enter all of the buildings on the tour, they’ll have a buddy designated to wait outside with them at each stop. Rumor has it that Art Deco Tours can make their Little Havana Tours dog-friendly as well (as long as you book two weeks in advance.) Book your tour and get cultured with your canine companion by your side!
610 Jefferson Ave #7 in South Beach
Have an energetic pup? Haulover Beach Park is one of the best places to take your dog for a day of play in Miami! Haulover Park has a special enclosure for dogs under 35 lbs, as well as ample space for larger pooches to run and jump around. Haulover Beach also allows dogs on leashes on the beach near lifeguard #3 every day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Visit Haulover Beach Dog Park to burn some of that pent up energy—who knows, your dog may even meet some new pals on their playdate!

It’s rare to find a botanical garden that allows dogs to explore the grounds, so Miami Beach Botanical Garden is one of our favorite dog-friendly places in Miami. Well-behaved dogs (on leashes) are welcome to accompany their owners on self-guided tours of the gardens any time, and they’re also invited to come along on docent-led tours on Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. Enjoy a relaxing day of strolling through beautiful blooms with your buddy by your side.
2000 Convention Center Drive in Miami Beach
The Bark Beach at North Shore Open Space Park is very beloved by dog owners in the area—probably because it’s one of the only dog-friendly beaches in Miami! The Bark Beach offers plenty of space for dogs to run both on- and off-leash (though the beach itself is strictly on-leash). Bark Beach is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. Let the dogs get dirty in the sand and feel the Miami heat!
8232 Collins Avenue in North Miami Beach
If you head all the way down to the tip of South Beach, you’ll find South Pointe Park—a Miami destination with plenty to do for both humans and dogs. Dogs are welcome on-leash throughout the park’s playgrounds and bike trails, as well as off-leash in the designated dog run area. This park is great if you love exploring―and don’t forget your camera. The views and architecture in the common spaces are awesome, so this is an opportunity to get some new portraits of your pup pals.
1 Washington Avenue in South Beach
Lummus Park is a great dog-friendly place in Miami if your pooch loves the urban lifestyle. Situated on Ocean Drive directly across the street from the Betsy, it’s the perfect spot to settle down with a blanket, some snacks, a good book, and your best furry friend. While there’s no off-leash area for your pup to run, its convenient location is right in the heart of South Beach, making it a great place to go for an hour or two if you don’t have a car on your vacation.
1130 Ocean Drive in South Beach
Hobie Beach Dog Park is the perfect dog-friendly beach in Miami for pups who love to catch waves and play off-leash. A man-made beach in Miami-Dade County, it’s a perfect paradise for pups who like to explore and be free! Plan a trip to Hobie Island Beach Park with your pal and watch their eyes light up and tails wag when they realize they can run around freely and dig around in the sand.
3501 Rickenbacker Causeway in Key Biscayne
The Miami Beach Boardwalk spans a four-mile stretch of stunning Miami beaches—and while the beach itself isn’t dog-friendly, you’re welcome to walk or run with your dog on a leash along this path, being considerate of others. Taking this trail is a chance to see the sun, sand, and waves of Miami Beach with your pup, and vendors, street performers, and events are often set up along the way. If your dog is a fan of a good, long walk with lots of exciting sights and smells, then Miami Beach Boardwalk is located right across the street from the Betsy and is a perfect place to get some exercise and sunshine.
